Hailing from a middle-class family of educationists from Almora, Uttarakhand, Himanshu always excelled in his studies. His grandfather was the founding member of Kumaun University and a well-known author. His father, an engineer and sugar technologist, spent more than 40 years serving the sugar industry. His mother, with a master’s in music, served many leading schools and colleges as a music teacher.
Himanshu is a management graduate from IIM Bangalore and holds a master’s in information technology from Princeton University, USA. He had always been very ambitious and a people’s person.
Over the last twenty years, he has worked with and led some of the country’s most respected real estate organisations, including Ansal API, Silverglades, Jindal Realty, and RDB Realty. Through these roles, he gained deep expertise in:
- Large-scale project execution
- Luxury and high-end development
- Customer-focused service delivery
- Strategic real estate leadership
His global exposure — spanning the Middle East, Australia, Canada, and Europe — has shaped his belief that real estate must be driven by human aspirations, trust, and value creation rather than just geography or structures

Himanshu expresses his gratitude towards his family and especially his wife Ruchi, who is an ex-banker with experience at ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, and Axis Bank, and now serves as CEO of Epique Real Ventures while running two award-winning preschools. Acknowledging the importance of family, he quotes, ‘One can never attain great heights in life without the support of family.’ I am very grateful to my wife, who was always there for me and helped me in striking a balance between my personal and professional life.”
